Talkaro has no servers of its own. What you type or say is translated on your phone and is never sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to go.
Nothing. Talkaro has no account, no sign-in and no analytics. We do not receive your translations, your favourites, or any identifier that points at you.
These are stored on the device and are removed when you uninstall the app.
Translation runs entirely on your device using Google ML Kit. The text you translate does not leave the phone.
When you download a language, the model file is fetched from Google's servers. Google receives the request as it would any download. Nothing about what you intend to translate is sent.
If you use the microphone, your speech is handled by your phone's own recognition service — Google on Android, Apple on iOS. Depending on your device and settings, that service may send the audio to its provider for processing. This is the one part of Talkaro that can involve a network, and it is governed by your device maker's privacy policy, not ours. If you would rather nothing left the phone, type instead of speaking.
Talkaro is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may use an advertising identifier to select and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you are asked for consent before any ad is requested, and you can change your answer at any time under Settings → Ad privacy options. Talkaro is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from them.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
